JOUW SMAAK is an online gift store, specialized in inspirational fantasy and new age gifts and collectibles. JOUW SMAAK is an official business, registered at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce since 2003. We also organize and host various collecor’s conventions in The Netherlands. ‘Jouw Smaak’ means ‘Your Taste’ in Dutch, and we make it our goal to offer many enchanting collectibles and gifts, of your taste!
How to order
You can place your order through our website, via email or by telephone. We have developed our own secure and easy, care free way of online ordering, without the stress of failing shopping carts, or creating endless user accounts! We make it our goal to make online shopping comfortable and easy for you. Simply check the checkbox near the item(s) of your choice and then fill out the order form at the bottom of the page completely. Please note that you have to order PER PAGE if you want items from different sections/pages from our site, because we don’t use a shopping cart system! Always include your full name/address/telephone number and email address: only completely filled out forms will be processed. After you have done that, click ‘ORDER NOW!’. Your order is now placed. You will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours, including all payment details.
Payment
We accept bank transfer and PayPal from international customers. Payments are always due within 5 working days. If you want to use PayPal, please check the PayPal checkbox in the order form. We will send you a PayPal invoice. A handling fee for PayPal payments is required: please add € 3,50 per PayPal transaction (this fee is fixed, regardless of the amount you are transferring, so no hidden extra fees!). Sorry, no PayPal within The Netherlands or Belgium. If you prefer paying by bank transfer, we will email you our bank account number, IBAN and BIC code. For your security and ours, we don’t handle any payments through the website and we never ask you to fill in your banking details or credit card numbers online. Payments are accepted in EUROS only.
Product reservations
After we have emailed your order confirmation and summary, you will have 24 hours to review and revise your order if necessary. If we don’t hear from you, your order is processed after 24 hours. Payment is due within 5 days from the order confirmation, so we will reservtheur item(s) of your choice for you for 5 days also. If we do not receive your payment within this period of time, we will send you a reminder. We will reserve the items for you for another 24 hours to the max. If your order is still not paid for after that, we will cancel your order. Unfortunately this also means that you will not be able to order from us again in the future, until your order is paid for, including a handling fee.
Shipping
We ship your order usually within 24 hours upon receipt of payment, except for holidays and weekends, or due to unforeseen circumstances. We always pack your items very well and with the utmost care, to make sure your items will be well protected during shipping. We always ship priority and insurance/signed for service is preferred. Shipping without insurance or signed for service is at the buyer’s own risk. We are not responsible for lost or damaged parcels in the mail. All items are double checked personally by us for flaws and are packed very well before these leave our hands. Therefor all sales are final and no returns are accepted, no exchanges. We will work with you however, if an item is lost or damaged in the mail, to file a claim with the postal service. We always keep proof of posting.

Sale Items
We do not guarantee box condition of sale items. All dolls and other items are NRFB (never removed from box). We always state any flaws in the description on the website. Usually items are perfect and we put these on sale because we simply have only a few of these items left. All sale items are considered final sales, sorry no returns or exchanges.
Pre-order and layaway policy
We offer the possibility to pre-order items that are featured on our website as being ‘expected’ or when a customer asks us to obtain a certain collectible item that we do not have in stock. We love the hunt for collectibles! Pre-orders and layaways do require a deposit, fixed depending on the price of the item. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable, when cancelled by the customer. Pre-orders are accepted from European customers. We only offer layaways for customers in The Netherlands, for items priced from € 200,00. Layaways only in 2 or 3 installments over a period of 2-3 months maximum.
